Designed with construction ease in mind, building is simplified due to pre-cutting and numbering of key pieces to minimize on-site cutting and confusion. It can be installed on any standard foundation that meets your local building codes. Each home package is complete and ready to assemble. |
Traditional Log Home Packages
Our log home packages generally include all the materials necessary to build the weather tight shell of your new log home.
Don't be fooled by other log home companies that provide incomplete packages. Dow & Duggan log homes are complete.

| Floor Structure: | Floor joist as required for plan. Material for carrying beam. 5/8" OSB t&g boards for subfloor. Logsiding for skirting. Pre-engineered I-joists optional. |
| Log Walls: | High quality seasoned eastern white pine or white cedar, red cedar on request. Double t&g, precision pre-cut to plan, numbered and pre-drilled for throughbolts, factory pre-stained. High-tech triple system. Corners interlocking or butt & pass. |
| Gable Ends: | Solid precision pre-cut logs to roof pitch. |
| Roof Structure: | Post & Beam style with 2'x6" kiln dried spruce decking, 2 layers of rigid insulation and sheathing over insulation, 20 year asphalt shingles, pine facia. Optional Douglas fir or parallam beams. |
| Windows: | Pine windows, double glazed with insect screens. Optional aluminum clad or red cedar. |
| Exterior Door: | Pre-hung steel insulated door. |
| Caulking: | Sufficient quantity for logs, windows and installation. |
| Log Treatment: | First coat "Timbercare". |
| Loft or Full Second Floor: | Structural timber purlins with 2' x 6" kiln dried spruce decking. |
| Dormers: | 2" x 6" framing with sheathing and log siding. Roof structure like above. |
| Interior Finishing: | Priced on request. |
